Moving Past Futility

I am finding access to new habits which have been blocked for me.

I realize I am moving past the futility which was built into my childhood.

I am able to get simple things done which were always treated as punishment.

I am sensing a kind of order which is deeper than what could be treated as punishment.

My sense of order is being achieved with my own deep sense of identity and my right and freedom to express myself.

As I began cultivating what I love to do, I have given myself permission to be a person who is loved.

My true respect for myself, for going deeply into who I truly am, is giving me a balance and order which I welcome.

I can do my daily and weekly chores without feeling hemmed in by someone else’s definition of me.

I have my own identity, even when it comes to chores.

I have my own rhythm, and I can proceed in a way that makes sense to me to get the job done.

I have the same happy feeling now, doing chores in my gentle way, as I do when I am working on a creative project.

My life has a new balance, where there is a gentle flow and everything gets done.

The great ravages of strength I used to employ are no longer necessary.

I have defeated my adversary.

I am in charge of my own life.

Your Own Life Rhythms

When I notice the seasonal cycles of various activities - community, holiday, school - I realize that my own life rhythms proceed differently.

I loved being immersed in Nature’s cycles while living off-grid for three years.

I still love them as much, and I participate in them as much as I can.

My own life rhythms are taking shape as I move from project ideas to implementation.

How I move between different projects creates its own flow.

The idea wells up within me.

I nurture it and think about it often.

I begin writing down ways of expressing it.

I start to collect materials.

I create the design.

Then I follow through on the steps to combine all the materials and create the presentation.

I usually have several different projects all at their own particular points in the creative process.

I move to each one to follow through on its particular step.

It creates a rhythm of its own, as I progress through the Studio.

I enjoy seeing each project take shape on its way to completion.

It is a deep and abiding sense of delight, joy and satisfaction as I progress.

It fits in with my priorities and my necessities.

There is a peaceful balance.

Welcome to Your Self

You know how certain things make sense?

Just every once in a while, there is a fleeting glimpse.

Coming into your Self feels like that, only over and over again until it is a permanent state.

The practice of listening to your inner guidance and following through on your priorities is a coming home to Self.

Making decisions is a different experience altogether from a feeling of being at home with your Self.

It is so much easier to do things from a basis of how it feels to be your Self.

Chores are easier, there is less pressure from outside sources, there is a peace and security within.

Not having to bridge the gap between doing required things and who you are makes life much more congenial.

I no longer have to wait to do things I enjoy because they constitute my entire life and work.

I can work in the chores since they are a series of short breaks when I need to let ideas settle or to give my hands and eyes a rest.

Eating well by eating healthily is a natural part of my day as I learn to garden and preserve food.

I can guard my health, which gives me a greater physical sense of well-being.

Including exercise as I walk around the house in addition to a couple of scheduled classes rounds out another physical activity for health.

Recreational reading is a great way to take breaks and appreciate the work of wonderful writers.

Knowing who I am lets me include all these good activities.

My former sense of worry, anxiety and depression is mostly gone because I know how to value my Self.

Stability From Within

I am feeling a deep sense of stability from within.

Everyone I know is feeling a deep sense of stability from within.

Everyone I don’t even know, all over the planet, is feeling a deep sense of stability from within.

——————-

Through discovering my inner strengths, I have found stability from within.

I am beginning to see it manifested throughout my life in welcome ways.

Now that I am discovering what I love and making that my priority, I have a greater sense of stability than at other times in my life.

I am devoted to what I love and how it enables me to give service.

I love how what I love to do builds community around me.

My stability and my community are a direct result of doing what I love ad providing service.

Through guidance from within, I am unaffected by politics and economics.

Natural adjustments are made to continue my production and my service.

The flow throughout my community is continuous and stable.

My security and that of those I serve expands to embrace the community.

The relationships which we build have a strong and flexible base.

We are producing what the community needs and delivering it within the community.

We are supporting everyone in the community through including their talents and skills.

We are developing the skills and training for whatever we need within our community.

No one is left out; all are significant to the life of our community.

Developing a sense of service throughout the community gives us stability from within.

A Completely New Direction

The new generation is collectively becoming conscious of local and world events in a completely different way from previous generations.

There is an ability to identify as a group with what is happening in the world and to take power through communication.

The ability to related to others through cooperation is a new recent trend in American culture.

After generations promoting independence, we are seeing a new kind of interdependence.

Awareness of the cost of consumption is guiding major life decisions.

Growing up with the desire to see a greener planet is influencing home practices from elementary school on up.

Careers based on biosphere consciousness are emerging.

The speed of communication is allowing rapid support for causes.

Fund raising can be practiced by the very young.

Idealism can gain support and be put into action quickly.

It is empowering to see the attraction and support of this idealism.

Suddenly, the power of the vote is being engaged as this generation becomes of age.

There is strong resistance to the destructive environmental practices of the past.

There is increasing awareness of the self-serving and well-funded efforts against the public good.

There are increasing movements to improve, restore, and expand what serves the public good.

The energy of idealism combined with the real and personal tragedies this generation is facing is producing a powerful political and economic force.

It is a worthy battle.

Do You Want Worse for Some People?

I want the best for people.

I see each little child as precious, and want that child to grow into a precious and valued adult.

Instead of seeing limited resources, I see infinite possibilities.

The person who invented microcredit looked for and found a unused resource and founded a bank for the poor.  (“Banker to the Poor” by Dr. Muhammed Yunus)

He recognized entrepreneurship for hundreds of thousands people and enabled them to lift themselves out of poverty.

I love this point of view, because it expands existing resources in a way that counteracts the view that there is not enough for everyone.

This proves that people can create their own opportunities given the most minimum of resources.

I was pleased to discover a way to  provide service by looking at a particular population in a new way.

I advanced my career while providing a living for my large family through my new way of service.

By adjusting our view to see all people as worthy, we can give them the power to take care of themselves.

It is a simple adjustment, although quite radical in terms of our habitual view.

The same way Dr. Yunus empowered hundreds of thousands, I empowered myself.

We are not exceptions.

There is a wonderful rule of expansion operating as we put the right tools in place.

Moving Beyond Rage

This year, I have been practicing not getting mad.

I have noticed it for little things and for big things as well.

As I have found solutions to the big things, I have become alert to the little things.

The feeling of rage is not one I want to experience.

It shuts down the other feelings which let me be creative and positive.

I am practicing a default idea which recognizes that although everyone has their own point of view, there is a higher one which we can all aim for.

I work on aiming for the higher point of view and that helps subdue the rage before it gets going.

Because I have shifted in my point of view, I know that others can, too.

I can maintain space for them to do so, by realizing that the world is full of experiences.

The same way that I did not know which experiences would shift my point of view, I do not know which experiences will shift someone else’s point of view.

I know there is room for all of us to live in a way that uplifts and blesses everyone else.

That is my higher point of view, and my way of moving beyond rage.
