Outer Comfort

Our Western culture is entirely focused on providing outer comfort.

The issues of the mind and soul are subjugated to producing things in the outer world, rather than exploring inner purpose and meaning.

What dissatisfying lives we are all leading, as evidenced by the personal searches for happiness and fulfillment we are seeing.

We are also seeing whole generations harassed to buy more and more for outer comfort, even as their jobs are taken away and opportunities for meaningful employment keep contracting.

How do we correct this direction instead of falling prey to compensating for it through activities which show an overload of emptiness?

The simplest way is to be driven inward.

To quiet listening.

There are always solutions.

The life of Outer Comfort has cost the earth her resources.

It has failed to value all her inhabitants, animals and the natural environment as well as humans.

It is failing.

This is a good thing.

Now is the time to rebuild from within.

Develop your inner resources and you will be led to live better and to help others live better.

So Full

Overflowing ideas, with an infinite more continuing to flow.

That is how I feel, sending my first printing order to be done.

Ideas that don’t pan out for some reason or another, are OK.

They, too, are part of the flow.

But to stop doing something because one or a dozen ideas didn’t work, is ridiculous.

Do you still have more ideas?

Keep working with them.

They are coming together in different ways.

Your willingness to invest in your ideas, both in time and money, shows your interest and sincerity in manifesting them.

This gives more and more power to your ideas.

When everything needful is done, you will see both the purpose and the presence of your ideas, and so will others.

Harmony for All

I am grateful for the harmony that is part of my higher nature.

Everyone I know is grateful for the harmony that is part of their higher nature.

Everyone I don’t even know, all over the world, is grateful for the harmony that is part of their higher nature.

———————

We are all given harmonious moments of great beauty.

We do not see them all the time, but they are there.

When we are inspired, they become more visible to us.

When we are in despair, they are still there, but they are hidden behind our heavy hearts.

It is good to know that there is always a sense of harmony going on somewhere in the world.

It manifests in different ways.

The simple ways are the ones that are most consistent to see.

Simple acts of kindness can create not only good in one person’s life; they can collectively overflow to benefit many people.

A compassionate attitude helps create harmony for us and for others.

Simple considerations that express the idea that everyone has value adds to the harmony of the world.

We are all becoming more aware of the possibilities of harmony as we confront the values around us.

Solitary and Alone

As much as I enjoy getting together with friends, I still have a lot of times, especially around holidays, where I really prefer being alone.

When I was growing up, getting together meant “putting on a good face” despite the serious dysfunction of my family.

As I have been sorting out these issues, I have been blessed with lots of “alone” time, to think through exactly what was going on and what it meant.

I am learning to go beyond the coping skills I developed as a child and to gain more understanding of my needs and how to take care of myself as I progress through the work I am doing.

I am learning to effectively put down panic attacks instead of escalating them by worrying about being panicked.

I am learning to place myself in positive situations, along with the fact that I have learned to leave negative or triggering circumstances.

Even though this work has required a lot of isolation, I am grateful for it.

I am grateful for taking the pressure off myself and giving myself the time to process whatever I need to down to the smallest triggering detail.

I am grateful that holidays no longer require me to sacrifice my calm.

There are other ways to celebrate.

I am sorry for the pain I received and I am sorry for any pain I delivered.

As I learn to live better, I hope everyone affected by me is learning to do the same.

New Competence

Being the Peace

When you are in alignment with what you love to do and you are doing it, you are in the most harmonious and peaceful state possible.

You are being the peace.

Coordinating to create what you love into your life is the most powerful action you can take toward peace.

Living in peace begins with honoring your heart’s desire and soul’s expression.

You can create it in any field of endeavor, business, economics, politics, eduction, art.

As long as it comes from your heart.

Everything you need to create it is within your deepest feelings.

When you go within and listen quietly, you hear its’ whisper.

It is always a gentle presence in your heart and mind.

It is why you are here.

You are here to create the beauty and joy and delight in your heart and to live in peace.

When you share your wonderful ideas, you are creating peace.

When you acknowledge that the most important thing you can do is honor the ideas within you, you create happiness for yourself.

Your happiness contributes to the joy in your community.

The joy in your community helps create more peace.

The Most Wonderful Thing

What would you be doing if you could choose the most wonderful thing that you enjoy doing?

What would you create?

How would you engage your mind?

What is in your imagination?

What are the tools that you need?

What is the first tiny step you can take?

Let these questions be the ones you answer every day to create the life you would most enjoy.

Let your heart’s desire guide you.

It is there for a reason.

You exist in the form you do with the ideas you have to express an absolutely unique identity.

This is your vital contribution to society.

You need only take the steps to create your original ideas to bring all the goodness you could ever dream of into your life.

The challenges you face will build your strength, conviction, confidence, and skills.

You will become more than you ever thought you could.

You will be challenged to grow more powerfully than you could ever imagine.

You will live in a different kind of world, the one created by your strength, your individuality, and your capacity to share your powerful and uplifting ideas.
