Expanding My Happy Place

I am creating a happy place for myself.

It includes everything I love to do.

I get to travel, play with fabric, do my inspirational writing, make my “meditation drawings”.

I live in serenity and calm, both valued states.

I have wonderful companionship.

I have so much compassion for myself.

It has been a gift to explore how to live in such an honest way with myself.

I began by taking the courage to do something that I love.

Every day has been a step from that point.

Now, even more ways are opening up to share the things I love.

I love bringing people along on my travels and sharing my fabric “journals”.

I love see their whole world view expand as they experience another part of the world through fabric.

My happy place is so overflowing that it has expanded to include people.

I love the feeling of sharing the goodness of the world in the hearts of people who have never had that experience before.

As they grow, they release so much fear of “the other”, or “the stranger”.

As we experience what we have in common, our worldview expands and our friendships increase.

The Expectation of Good Things

I feel the expectation of good things.

Everyone I know feels the expectation of good things.

Everyone I don’t even know, all over the planet, feels the expectation of good things.

——————-

Sometimes, despite my surroundings, I have the expectation of good things.

As  work in joy, I have the expectation of good things.

I am drawn to doing what I love, and it increases my expectation of good things.

I know as I work in joy, I am creating an uplifting atmosphere and one of inspiration.

I am adding to the good in the world through my attitude.

I am helping to increase the expectation of good things.

The thoughts within us which give us a sense of happiness create an expectation of good things.

When we imagine doing what we love or contributing to the world in some positive way, we are creating an expectation of good things.

There are so many ways we can contribute good.

Our excellent work and commitment to completion helps create an expectation fo good things.

Our reward in in the doing of our excellent work.

It creates a standard in and for our life which attracts good things.

Whatever does not belong in our life is driven away by our excellence.

We naturally attract to ourselves the things which are important in our expression.

The good things we attract are honesty, trust in relationships, integrity in business and simple pleasures.

We can expect these good things to happen to us because we are creating a place for them.

We drive out unwanted behaviors around us by creating excellent ones for ourselves to carry out.

Our expectancies are met, and given more empowerment, by our daily uplifting practices.

The Confidence of Expectation

I have the confidence of expectation as I do the work that I love.

I am in a completely different frame of mind from “bloom where you are planted”.

I am finding new ground to grow in.

As I trust my intuition and move in that direction, I am connecting with what I love.

I am better at it and willing to learn and work at it than other things.

I gain more and more confidence as I do the work to improve at what I love doing.

Even though others do not have the same attitude, I am still able to enjoy myself and to excel.

I am grateful to have the expectation of doing what I love as I follow my intuition.

As I continue in my work, I see more openings and opportunities.

I am able to improve with new goals in mind.

There is a feeling of optimism and happiness.

It is an upbeat experience.

My ability to move in the direction of what I love is connecting me to what I desire.

My life is shifting direction and emphasis.

Instead of using my creative energy for making sure I fit in and can do what is expected of me well, I am enjoying my own direction.

I revel in the trust I am giving myself.

My entire experience is lighter and fuller.

I know now that I can follow this feeling of light and expectation and confidence wherever it takes me.

I have been willing to do the work in other directions.

Now I am doing the work in the direction which calls me.

I am so aligned with who and what I am, that I am experiencing a confidence I never knew was in me.

This is the goal to which I have been moving all my life.

I am so grateful to discover it and put it into action now.

Being Where I Am

My desire has led me to take on new adventures.

I love following through on a lifelong goal and finding it expansive beyond what I expected.

Because there is so much more to life which we do not see on the surface, new adventures bring deep experiences.

My excitement is turning to peace.

I see why I am here.

I am able to perceive a great and underlying peace in my new places and experiences.

It is as I had hoped.

New views are appearing in front of me every day.

Experiencing daily activities in terms of different values, expressed by architecture, conversation, art, daily walks, how food is served, shows me the same things, but from a different view.

The view is respect and dignity and consideration in the little, daily things.

There is intensity and busyness, but they are to serve real needs.

There is not the excess of corporate oversell.

People walk, everywhere they need to go.

Driving and public transportation is also widely available, but small neighborhoods which are defined by plazas, allow personable interactions.

It is such a relief to be able to relate to persons, not to corporations.

It is such a joy to interact in tiny, human-scale businesses.

Even in large establishments, there are people attending to the needs of the people who enter their doors.

Children are polite and people are unafraid, though aware.

Parents hold the hands of their children, even the older elementary age ones, as they walk on the streets.

Yes, they are keeping them close and protecting them, and yes, the children are willing to be held so.

There are racially and nationally defined neighborhoods, and they are also open to multi-racial and multi-national interactions.

There is not the subservient and raging racial fear which I have only experienced of late where I come from.

My adventure is giving me much more in awareness and appreciation and possibility than I ever expected.

A New World Opens Up

I love having a new world open up.

Everyone I know loves having a new world open up.

Everyone I don’t even know, all over the planet, loves having a new world open up.

———————-

I am so grateful to follow through learning a new language.

I have always loved learning languages.

I appreciate the finer sounds which give the language its character.

I like the feel of shaping my mouth to match the sounds I am hearing.

I especially love when I can understand what someone is saying in another language, and then answer.

It is a process, and it takes a certain amount of time for the all the steps to come together.

I love that I have the opportunity to learn another language as we travel.

It is so exciting to me when the pronunciations are explained.

I enjoy hearing the rhythm of the language all around me.

As I learn, certain words become clear to me in passing conversations.

Finally, I am able to participate at my beginning level.

Then, it is a matter of acquiring vocabulary and learning all the formal and informal practices.

A whole new world opens up.

Where Peace Flows

Peace which flows from within permeates my entire being.

People around me feel this peace and it calms the atmosphere around them.

The tendrils of this feeling of peace explore every nook and cranny and enter wherever there is space.

Certain places feel peaceful.

Botanical gardens express so much beauty and peace.

Wild natural areas beckon with their promise of perfect balance and unexpected beauty.

Beautiful relationships are peaceful when based on appreciation, consideration, respect and dignity.

Peace establishes itself through natural order.

Chaos is impossible within the influence of peace.

A nurturing instinct stills fear and brings peace and comfort.

Every breath, every endeavor aimed at peace gathers every harmonious element to bring it about.

A peaceful life has the power to surround itself with peace and to increase peace in the community.

My Place of Happiness

I am always in a place of happiness.

Everyone I know is always in a place of happiness.

Everyone I don’t even know all over the planet is in a place of happiness.

——————-
I exist in my core state of happiness.

I realize and manifest my life from my core state.

Everything which occurs in my life is driven by my core state.

There is no deviation from it.

Each step I take, each venture I consider, all are characterized by happiness.

My happiness overflows and affects everyone around me.

All are buoyed up by this continuous flow of happiness.

It permeates every word, every look, every thought.

The thought of compassion and consideration extends to everyone in the community.

Solutions to raise the level of happiness through dignity and respect naturally occur.

Input From a Larger View

As I travel, I am hit with a larger view.

Everyday, ordinary people going about their ordinary lives are not living in fear.

People of color, white people, business people, working-class people, students, people walking along the streets, riding the metro, are not living in fear.

There is camaraderie in the cafes where it is clean and busy and purposeful and there is consideration of everyone there.

A narrow view knows only itself, its opinions and its experiences.

A larger view, because of its larger experiences, knows more than itself.

I am so grateful to have left an area where the narrow, limited view is celebrated.

I am so grateful and comforted to be part of the celebration of a larger view.

I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with students from all over, even while I lived in my original place.

My precious students came from homes where many different languages were spoken, many different cultures of cooking were eaten, and many different types of clothing cultures were worn.

I was the lucky recipient of these impressions and friendships and trust as I taught their children.

I can only hope that everyone has the opportunity to increase and expand their view, with or without the experiences which would cause this to happen.

i can only hope that through self-eduction and interest the narrow, limited view would be abandoned.

I can only hope that the deep cultural feelings of fear of the “other”, the “stranger” would become convinced of the beauty of every precious person on the earth.

My take on it is that everyone comes from a family of some kind.

Whether they have been able to grow up in a traditional family or not, that is where I start.

We all come from families which want the best for us.

All families want safety and goodness and well-being for themselves and their children.

That is enough for us to have in common to build trust.

Let governments fight it out if they must, but let us see each other in families and let us treat each other as friends through a larger view.

The Influence of a Larger View

I feel the influence of a larger view.

Everyone I know feels the influence of a larger view.

Everyone I don’t even know all over the planet feels the influence of a larger view.

——————
As I travel, I receive the input from different architectural styles, the different physical resources to create them and the resulting interactions of the people who live here.

The result of centuries of craftsmanship show respect for the past artisans and laborers who created the buildings and tile roads.

Even as many generations of more and more modern input show up, the respect for long-lasting construction embodies the work of those who created it.

It is not the superficial differences which I feel, but rather the deep respect within the new communities I visit and experience.

Tones in languages denote camaraderie, respect, consideration.

How people treat each other at busy crosswalks, allowing others to pass without jostling, and helping those who need it is another indicator.

The larger view I am acquiring comes through the way I am treated in my new surroundings.

It creates a desire in me to learn more about the different cultures I am experiencing.

As I gain knowledge, simple interactions comfort me.

I realize more about why people treat each other well.

The larger view takes into account the needs of others.

The larger view begins to realize there are many ways of solving problems and addressing needs.

Each person fulfilling their specific role in a culture adds to the overall impression and feeling.

With a larger view, everyone is respected and valued.

The larger view takes into consideration other ways of addressing situations.

The larger view is willing to acquire more knowledge and experience and to make deep philosophical changes where necessary.
