Outer Comfort

Our Western culture is entirely focused on providing outer comfort.

The issues of the mind and soul are subjugated to producing things in the outer world, rather than exploring inner purpose and meaning.

What dissatisfying lives we are all leading, as evidenced by the personal searches for happiness and fulfillment we are seeing.

We are also seeing whole generations harassed to buy more and more for outer comfort, even as their jobs are taken away and opportunities for meaningful employment keep contracting.

How do we correct this direction instead of falling prey to compensating for it through activities which show an overload of emptiness?

The simplest way is to be driven inward.

To quiet listening.

There are always solutions.

The life of Outer Comfort has cost the earth her resources.

It has failed to value all her inhabitants, animals and the natural environment as well as humans.

It is failing.

This is a good thing.

Now is the time to rebuild from within.

Develop your inner resources and you will be led to live better and to help others live better.
